This blog was created for our community organizing and development class group project. Our group is about community engagement or community voices in community development. We are all interested in thinking about and exploring how we can better hear community voices in order to advance positive change. Said differently we are all interested in approaches to community engagement.

Definitions

Here is a definition that I came across in literature I was reading that I thought might be useful for us.
Social Capital: the ability to amass resources or complete tasks by drawing upon the obligations of others in a personal social network. (Rudel, 2006)
